Julie Washer, Principal

Julie Washer founded Metis Marketing Solutions in 2006 to serve small and medium-sized businesses in Ponte Vedra and across the country.

Inspiration

Inspired by Metis (Mē ́- tŭs), the Greek Goddess of Wisdom, Washer focuses on helping clients articulate their brands— the products and services they created and are passionate about—to customers.  According to legend, Metis lived inside Zeus’ head and advised him. Washer tries to do the same. 

“Clients know their brands; they just need help finding the right ways to communicate them to customers,” she said.  “I try to give clients the wisdom and direction they need to move their ideas, and their businesses, forward.”

And while Metis gave Zeus intelligent information and ideas, Zeus spoke them and, therefore, received the credit for them. 

“I like the idea that I can give clients the benefits of my expertise, and their businesses reap the rewards,” Washer said. “That’s value-adding.”

Experience

A twenty-year marketing veteran, Washer has worked in the corporate and not-for-profit sectors, both independently and as a Senior Director of Marketing for a large national company targeting Fortune 300 clients.  Exposure to so many branding and marketing strategies makes recognizing the right solutions, and avoiding the wrong ones, second nature.

Approach

Regardless of size, Washer takes a consultative approach to every project, first determining the project’s function and audience, and then the best means to achieve the desired goal. Diversifying across as many media as possible, she establishes measurable markers for success and always works within her client’s budget.
